I understand well that taking this first step may take courage; it is not unusual to feel nervous about seeking help. Call or email me now. You may ask me whatever you wish, about how I work, and we can talk briefly about your reasons for seeking help now. This will give you a flavour of my approach and enable us to decide whether it might be rewarding to work together. As appropriate we can then arrange an initial session to discuss things in more detail and establish the areas of concern.

An initial meeting can usually be scheduled within 10 days of contact, depending on our respective availability. This session, which may be held over two appointments, does not commit you in any way. During this session we will be able to assess whether working together will be both productive and rewarding. If we do decide to work together we can then develop an outline programme for future sessions.

For ongoing work I usually see clients weekly; if you have recently left treatment it can be helpful to meet more regularly, for a short period of time. I have a flexible approach to fixed hours, although a regular appointment time each week is often helpful for the work. I have a fees scale, which we can discuss in relation to your circumstances. In a number of situations, reduced fees may be available.
