Has your life been affected by addiction or an eating disorder?
If you or your family are looking for support to move on, I may be able to help...
Have you changed your behaviour but find that you are still waiting for your thoughts and feelings to catch up?
TELOS therapy is for everybody but particularly for those struggling with addiction and eating disorders - either their own, or someone else's.
I have a passion for my work with women recovering from alcoholism, drug addiction and eating disorders, and those affected by another’s substance misuse or disordered eating. I have developed extensive experience of working with clients whose lives have been disrupted by addictions and eating disorders at all stages of recovery. I work with individuals, couples and family groups, and am able to tailor recovery focused care plans which cater for your specific needs.
I came to study psychology from an academic background firmly rooted in the humanities. As an undergraduate I became fascinated by political theory and philosophy, and subsequently embarked upon further professional study in the arena of law and jurisprudence. Throughout my studies has been a constant area of interest – people, their motivations and their struggles.
My training has become increasingly specialist, as I have pursued some particular areas of interest to solidify my initial training as an integrative practitioner. In this way, I work holistically with a variety of tools and techniques, to better help my clients, all of whom I believe to be individuals requiring and deserving of a unique approach. I consistently draw upon insights from philosophy, psychology, and mindfulness to address the human condition, regarding the challenges that my clients experience as the difficulties of life and living, rather than pathologised problems.
